Micro Hooded Downunder - ?

Sidney was a very special rat to me. I got him when he already was three months old and we had different ideas of life. The first year we lived together, we had so many fights. We fought over many things, and he always got upset and agressive as soon as I lost my temper. It took a while before we finally understood each other. But we did.
He still got upset and played wet headgehog when I lost my tempere over things, but I learnt how to talk him down. After those times he always wanted kisses and me to tell him eveything weas fine, that he didn't need to worry over my stress or anger, that it wasn't towards him. I also learnt when he could be in the cage when I cleaned it, and when he'd be upset with it.

The older he got, the better our relationship turned out.
When he for the first time showed signs of getting old, he got slow and a tad bit stiff, I got so very worried. He must have felt it, because just some day later, he was back to his usual self. He started to sleep more than usual, and deeper. But he didn't show any signs of an aging body anymore.

Some weeks later I found him curled up in his cage. It took a while before I realized he would never wake up again. It was a shock, he had seemed so agile and healthy just the day before and now he was dead.

That day, Rufus and Benji spent all the time they could on the very spot Sidney had been when he left us. Even if Siddi wasn't the easiest for rats to be with, it seemed they missed him dearly. They weren't sad, but held on closely to everything that smelled of him.
